Sam Cruz Debuts Under Diorama FM with “Was It Just A Dream?”

Published on December 15, 2025

Sam Cruz is back after a hiatus, debuting her latest single “Was It Just A Dream?” as the cover track for Spotify’s Fresh Finds Philippines playlist. This release not only signals her return to the music scene but also showcases her artistic evolution, marking a fresh chapter in her career.

As her debut release under the record label Diorama FM, “Was It Just A Dream?” reflects Sam’s shift toward alternative/indie, dream pop, and indie pop genres. The track delves into themes of lingering memories and emotional uncertainty, offering a song that blends ethereal melodies with introspective lyrics.

In her own words, Sam Cruz explains, “‘Was It Just A Dream?’ is about holding onto the memories of someone even after they’re gone, and questioning whether what you had was ever real or if it only felt that way because of how deeply you loved them.” She further elaborates, “It’s that in-between space of nostalgia and denial—when you’re haunted by the little things that remind you of a person, and you can’t tell if it was love or just a dream you don’t want to wake up from.”

Perfect for anyone grappling with the ghosts of past relationships, “Was It Just A Dream?” captures the haunting memory of unresolved feelings. Stay tuned to Sam Cruz’s evolving musical journey by following her and Diorama FM on all social media platforms.

Was It Just A Dream?

Sam Cruz

Verse 1:

passing by your old place with the porch light on (thinking of you)

thinking how we stayed up talking until dawn

every little thing reminds me that you’re not here but it still feels so close

every little thing reminds me you were near

(wish u were here)

Chorus:

was it just a dream

the way we used to be

(in my mind)

u were all i need

the way used to be

Verse 2:

driving through the city with the radio low (thinking ‘bout us)

thinking ’bout the nights you never let me go

(let me go let me go let me goooo)

every single day I’m haunted by the feeling (’cause it never left)

every single day I wonder if you’re healing

(are u healing now?)

Chorus 2:

was it just a dream

the way we used to be

(in my mind)

u were all i need

the way you looked at me

was it just a dream

you are all i see

was it just a dream

you are all i see

Gloc-9’s “Kakampi” Is For Those Who’ve Got Your Back

Published on October 13, 2025

Life’s a rollercoaster, but when you’ve got the right person by your side, every twist and turn feels a little easier. That’s the vibe behind “Kakampi,” the latest track from Gloc-9, Abaddon, and Hero. The word “kakampi” means “ally,” and this song is all about being that ride-or-die partner who sticks with you through thick and thin.

Following Gloc-9’s previous release “Bonethugs,” which explored misunderstandings and quarrels in relationships, “Kakampi” serves as a reminder that at the end of the day, partners are allies who have each other’s backs: “Ramdam ko ang nasa loob, tandaan mo ang ikaw ay ako. Ang pangako’y pang-hawakan mo dahil sumpa ko yan sa’yo, ako’y kakampi mo.

The track is a tribute to the person you can always rely on and grow with, the chorus highlights that perfectly: “Malalampasan din natin ang lahat ng ‘to. Walang hindi kaya, basta tayo’y mag-kasama. Pahinga lang saglit, huminga’t pumikit. Tapos laban ulit, gano’n tayo kalupit. Mas madaling lumaban, mas matindi ‘pag tayo ay mag-kakampi.”

“Kakampi” is out now on all major streaming platforms. Whether you’re in a relationship or you just want to remind someone special that you’ve got their back, this song is the perfect anthem for sticking together no matter what.

“Kakampi”

Gloc-9, Abaddon, Hero

Gloc-9 verse

Mahahanap kahit pumikit, mabulag man ay makakapa

Chorus

Malalampasan din natin ang lahat ng ‘to

Walang hindi kaya, basta tayo’y mag-kasama

Pahinga lang saglit, huminga’t pumikit

Tapos laban ulit, gano’n tayo kalupit

Mas madaling lumaban

Mas matindi ‘pag tayo ay mag-kakampi

Abaddon verse

Tama o mali man, ating panindigan

Chorus

Malalampasan din natin ang lahat ng ‘to

Walang hindi kaya, basta tayo’y mag-kasama

Pahinga lang saglit, huminga’t pumikit

Tapos laban ulit, gano’n tayo kalupit

Mas madaling lumaban

Mas matindi ‘pag tayo ay mag-kakampi

Hero verse

Chorus

Malalampasan din natin ang lahat ng ‘to

Walang hindi kaya, basta tayo’y mag-kasama

Pahinga lang saglit, huminga’t pumikit

Tapos laban ulit, gano’n tayo kalupit

Mas madaling lumaban

Mas matindi ‘pag tayo ay mag-kakampi

Outro

Mas madali ‘pag tayo ay mag-kakampi

Tayo’y mag-kakampi

AltG Records’ Nior releases a love letter to quiet moments via new single “Giliw”

Published on October 9, 2025

Philippine band Nior recently released their new single “Giliw,” a heartfelt ode to the beauty of quiet, shared moments in a relationship.

Penned by the band’s female vocalist, Gabrielle “Gab” Van Petel, the song under AltG Records is a departure from grand gestures and focuses on the simple yet profound joy of being together. It was recently featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday and Fresh Finds Philippines.

“The song is about cherishing quiet, intimate moments with someone you deeply love,” Gab explained. “It’s a love letter to shared peace – those still, simple moments where you feel complete just by holding hands, talking, and being together.”

The inspiration for “Giliw” came from a desire to capture the essence of slowing down with a loved one. “Life gets so fast-paced, but with the right person, you can pause, breathe, and feel safe. The person you love becomes the beginning and the end of your heart’s journey,” Gab said. She drew the lyrics of the song from personal experiences and real conversations.

Through “Giliw,” the band Nior hopes to impart a simple message: love doesn’t need to be loud or complicated to be real. “Sometimes, it’s the quietest moments that carry the most meaning,” Gab added. The band wants listeners to feel a sense of warmth and comfort, “like they’re wrapped in a hug,” when they hear the song. “I want to make people smile, think of someone they love, or remember a time when they felt safe and happy,” Gab shared.

“Giliw,” is a time capsule of love that never ages – a song perfect for sunsets, long drives, and slow dances.

brei Brings Her Track To Life With “Find Your Kislap”

Published on July 30, 2025

Rising OPM artist brei recently unveiled her latest single, “Kislap,” under Universal Records. Just weeks later, she brought its message to life with a one-of-a-kind launch party that truly lived up to its name, held at 225 Bar, Quezon City.

Titled “Find Your Kislap,” the event wasn’t just a celebration of a new release — it was an experience rooted in the song’s core message: finding and choosing that one special person among a thousand faces in the crowd. Guests were encouraged to mingle through fun and cheeky games like a “love experience” bingo, with prompts such as “Who has ghosted or been ghosted?”, and a daring Bring Me challenge that included requests like “Bring me a photo of your ex” or “Bring me your crush.”

The night also featured soulful performances from fellow Universal Records artists, It All Started In May (IASIM), and XYVRL, along with a performance from Krey of Diorama — all delivering heartfelt sets centered on love in all its forms: the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Capping off the night was the highly anticipated performance from the star of the evening herself, brei. She took the stage with her debut single “Eh Di Pasensya Na,” gave fans a surprise with her unreleased track “Digital,” and ended on a high with the much-awaited performance of “Kislap.”

“Find Your Kislap” wasn’t just a celebration of a new single; it was a reminder that love comes in many forms, and sometimes, all it takes is one spark. “Kislap” is out now on all major streaming platforms!

It All Started In May Releases Second Single: “Pasado”

Published on July 27, 2025

Following their explosive debut with “O’ Kay Tamis,” OPM sensation “It All Started In May” (IASIM) has gifted fans their second single, “Pasado,” now available on all streaming platforms. This release comes just one month after their debut — a direct response to overwhelming demand from their rapidly growing fanbase, affectionately dubbed “Mayopets” — a clever fusion of the Filipino word for May, “Mayo,” and “malupet,” which means impressive or cool.

“Pasado” is about admiring someone from afar, wondering if they’re out of your league, filled with the uncertainty of being able to meet their standards. The song lyrically asks questions such as, “Mali nga ba ang humanga sa isang katulad mo?” (“Is it wrong to admire someone like you?”) while its catchy chorus reinforces this sentiment: “Coz’ it feels like you’re out of my league, out of my league, oh baby! Parang hindi pasado, pasado sa iyo!” (It feels like I can’t pass your standards).

With its fun, lighthearted, and memorable melody, “Pasado” is an easy listen that makes it a perfect addition to any playlist. Both fans and new listeners alike are sure to appreciate the infectious energy of this track.

The band is composed of five members: Red as lead vocals and guitar, Mikee on drums, Jai on keyboard, Pau on rhythm guitar and vocals, and JP on bass and vocals. They released their debut single “O’ Kay Tamis” last May and it has been well-received. Apart from the song being used by a lot of people in their social media content, “O’ Kay Tamis” has also been featured in six editorial playlists on Spotify — definitely a big achievement for a new band!

As IASIM continues to gain momentum in the music scene, fans can look forward to more exciting releases — and gigs — in the coming months.

NINO Releases “Sea Salt Dayz” — A Soulful Reset for the Weary Mind

Published on July 21, 2025

Solo artist NINO released his latest single, “Sea Salt Dayz,” last June 27, 2025, a feel-good and reflective track that leans into meditation, contemplation, and acceptance. The song plays like a personal mantra — a decision to stop clinging to sadness and finally embrace stillness.

“I choose the good. I choose peace. I choose simple,” NINO shares on his social media, summing up the heart of “Sea Salt Dayz.” He continues, “I want to soothe my inner world. To be easygoing and peaceful. To become one with my flawed self.”

With tones reminiscent of Steve Lacy, Mac DeMarco, and Cuco, the track carries a dreamy, lo-fi-ish warmth that feels both breezy and grounding. It’s the kind of song you’d play on a slow afternoon stroll by the baywalk, dog leash in one hand, popsicle in the other, with waves crashing in the background. It doesn’t ask much of you — it just lets you be.

NINO recently performed “Sea Salt Dayz” live at Fête De La Musique Dumaguete Stage last June 27, the same day the track officially dropped — a fitting setting for a song about slowing down and making peace with the mess and beauty of everyday life. Catch more of the artist and his future releases and performances by following NINO and Diorama on all social media platforms.

The King of Soul is back: Janno Gibbs signs with GMA Music

Published on July 14, 2025

GMA Music proudly welcomes home the country’s King of Soul, Mr. Janno Gibbs, as he officially signs with GMA Music for exciting new projects ahead.

Present during the contract signing event were GMA Music Managing Director Mr. Rene Salta, A&R Manager and Producer Mr. Kedy Sanchez, and A&R Officer and Producer Mr. Caleb John Hinanay.

Janno expressed his gratitude and excitement to reunite with the record label, “It feels really good to be back home sa GMA Music, I feel really at home with these guys. It’s not just the label, it’s these guys I’m coming home to.”

Janno’s partnership with GMA Music marks a full-circle moment in his music career. He was one of the very first artists signed by then-GMA Records back in 2004. His debut album under the label, Seven, was aptly titled—not only was it his seventh studio album, but it also paid homage to GMA’s Channel 7. The album produced memorable hits such as “Pinakamagandang Lalaki,” “Kasinungalingan,” “Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko,” and the chart-topping “Fallin’,” which became the iconic theme song of the Koreanovela Full House.

The success of Seven was recognized by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI), awarding the album a Gold Record for exceeding 15,000 CD sales.

Following Seven, Janno released a string of albums with GMA Records: Little Boy, Orig, The Janno Gibbs Anthology, Novela and Nagbabalik. From these albums came well-loved tracks such as “Walang Kadala-dala,” “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo,” “Ikaw Lang at Ako” (a personal composition dedicated to his wife, Bing Loyzaga), “Sexy Mama” featuring Andrew E., “Haven’t Stopped Loving You,” “Igiling,” “Lalake Lang Ako” and more.

Janno was also awarded a Special Digital Sales recognition for his album Orig, highlighting his ability to adapt and thrive in the evolving music landscape. A versatile artist, Janno collaborated with several Kapuso stars throughout the years. And beyond commercial hits, Janno’s musical talents have also supported GMA’s storytelling. He composed and performed theme songs for several Kapuso shows such as Lupin, Gagambino, Asero, Dading, Ikaw, Ako at Siya, and My Korean Jagiya.

His meaningful contributions also extended to social causes. Janno initiated the Bangon Kaibigan project—writing the heartfelt tribute song for Super Typhoon Yolanda survivors and spearheading the collaboration with GMA Network and Kapuso artists for a touching music video.

Now, seven years since his last album with GMA Records, Janno Gibbs returns to GMA Music, ready to share more soulful music with Kapuso fans.

JL Gaspar’s “Alon” Is Theme Song for GMA’s Tagalized Version of The Lovely Runner

Published on June 20, 2025

Rising solo artist JL Gaspar, formerly a member of P-Pop group PLUUS, has made a powerful mark with the release of his debut single “Alon” on June 6, 2025. The track, which reflects JL’s emotional transition from his boy band days to a new chapter in global K-Pop, has now been officially announced as the theme song for GMA Network’s Tagalized version of the hit K-Drama The Lovely Runner.

“Alon”, a stirring pop ballad, beautifully complements the drama’s themes of love, fate, and second chances. The show—starring Kim Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok—has captivated audiences worldwide with its thrilling storyline, poignant romance, and layered performances. In the Tagalized version premiering on GMA this June 23 at 5:10 PM, JL’s voice will underscore some of the series’ most emotional moments.

The choice of “Alon” is especially fitting. Water is a frequently present element in the show. For example, Byeon Woo-seok’s character Sandro (Ryu Sun-Jae in the Korean original) is an ex-swimmer so there are scenes in the swimming pool. The couple also go to the beach to have a romantic getaway during their high school summer. More than this, the back-and-forth between the lead characters mirrors the turmoil of love portrayed in the song.

JL’s solo release comes on the heels of his victory in the Korean survival show Universe League, where he earned a coveted spot in an upcoming global K-Pop group. In addition, he is also the newly named honorary ambassador for I Like It Korea Milk, and recently met fans at Robinsons Magnolia last June 14.

Both the song “Alon” and its official music video, now available on Universal Records’ YouTube channel, have been warmly received by fans. The track is also streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major platforms.

With accolades pouring in for The Lovely Runner—including 4 out of 5 stars from The Straits Times and a spot on Time Magazine’s Best K-Dramas of 2024—its Philippine adaptation is expected to resonate strongly with local fans. The drama’s male lead, Byeon Woo-seok is also scheduled to visit Manila for a fan meeting on July 19.

JL Gaspar’s “Alon” is more than just a song—it’s the emotional heartbeat of a series that has captured hearts across Asia.

Exciting New Band It All Started In May Is The One To Watch After Release Of Debut Single “O’ Kay Tamis”

Published on May 27, 2025

It All Started In May (IASIM) is truly the one to watch after the release of their debut single “O’ Kay Tamis” under Universal Records last May 23, 2025. The track made it to not just the New Music Friday playlist of Spotify Philippines, but also to the Fresh Finds Philippines playlist — even being featured on the cover!

This is definitely a rare achievement for a new band — a new band that just launched their Spotify account the same day they released their first-ever single, a new band that was formed exactly just a year ago, a new band that was just scouted and signed by the record label early this year.

This milestone reflects the unwavering support of their quickly-growing fanbase, the band’s distinctive sound and style, and, most importantly, the exceptional quality of the song itself.

It All Started In May gained significant attention in January 2025 when their covers of classic Filipino songs, including the iconic “Manila” by Hotdog and “Your Song” by Parokya ni Edgar, went viral on TikTok. This led to some offers from different record labels and management companies, with the band ultimately choosing Universal Records as their label and GLXY as their talent management company.

The band quickly went to work, hitting the studio to record their original songs and create new ones. And now they have finally released their debut single “O’ Kay Tamis,” much to the delight of fans and those who discovered them on TikTok, as they had been clamoring for this fan-favorite’s release on Spotify.

Composed of Red (guitar and lead vocals), Jai (keyboard), JP (bass and vocals), Pau (guitar and vocals), and Mikee (drums), IASIM is a talented group hailing from Cavite. While Red, Jai, JP, and Mikee are students at National University Dasmariñas, Pau is a professor from the same school, bringing a unique dynamic to the band. Formed in May 2024 (which explains the band name), IASIM draws heavy inspiration from the ‘70s when it comes to both sound and style, apparent in their first single and everyday wear.

With a fast-growing fanbase, distinctive sound and style, an amazing debut single, and electrifying stage presence, this is definitely just the start for It All Started In May, and we are excited to see what else they have to offer.

“O’ Kay Tamis”, is available by request on V81 Radio Mobile App.
